THE COMPANY

Historical clients of STIVENT INDUSTRIE^®, in 2016 Air France Industries-KLM and Safran Aircraft Engines created a joint-venture dedicated to the repair of blades for aircraft engine compressors.

THE SUCTION AND ERGONOMICS PROBLEM

More than just a suction solution for dust emitted during repair operations, AAS needed ergonomic and compact solutions to facilitate the work of operators. Their very precise specifications represented a major challenge:

• possibility of working in a seated position
• height adjustment of the working position 
• reception of two operators on the same station
• integration of an abrasion machine on the work surface
• control of filtered air discharges
• lighting and noise requirements
• reliability and lifetime of filters

THE SOLUTION OFFERED BY STIVENT

To meet the needs of AAS, our design office has developed a tailor-made downdraft table based on technology that has been mastered for years. Thanks to close collaboration with the client and TMUA - for the design of abrasive machines - we have designed a tailor-made Up and Down backsplash table by incorporating a double workstation at the front and rear of the machine. 

Each station is equipped with:

• a motorised system for adjusting the height of the worktable, independent for each station
• powerful, shadowless LED lighting
• a tailor-made abrasive machine
• a glass to avoid dust projections
• engine compartment soundproofing
• a probe continuously measuring discharges of filtered air

This project is proof that we gain from combining all the skills.
